🌟 SIAMS Inspection Celebration – June 2025
📄 SIAMS Report June 2025
🔗 Learn more about our Vision, Values and Aims
We are delighted to share the outcomes of our recent SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection, which took place in June 2025. The report confirms that Raynsford Church of England Academy is living up to its foundation as a Church school and enabling pupils and adults to flourish.
This glowing report is a true reflection of our shared vision, values, and daily commitment to nurturing a loving, inclusive, and empowering environment for all.
🌿 Key Strengths Celebrated by the Inspector
✨ A Clear, Living Vision
Our Christian vision, based on Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 – “Two people are better than one, for they can help each other succeed” – is deeply embedded across all aspects of school life. The inspector praised how this vision guides both children and adults to thrive, ensuring everyone is celebrated for their uniqueness and supported to meet their full potential.
💖 A Culture of Inclusion, Respect and Belonging
The school was commended for its “striking positive and inclusive culture” and the “strong relationships between pupils, adults and leaders.” Pupils feel safe, confident, and respected, and staff feel valued and supported.
🌍 Curriculum Inspired by Vision and Real-World Responsibility
The report highlighted the way our curriculum is shaped by our Christian vision, with excellent adaptations to support every child. Features such as The Owlet and Nurture Rooms provide a safe and purposeful environment where children—especially those with SEND—develop confidence, resilience, and independence.
Our curriculum also encourages environmental responsibility, global awareness, and social justice, all deeply rooted in Christian values. Pupils are given opportunities to lead change and reflect on their impact as citizens of the world.
🙏 Collective Worship that Unites and Inspires
Worship at Raynsford is inclusive, reflective, and joyful. The inspector praised the “well-planned and creative programme of worship”, which strengthens pupils’ understanding of Christian values and biblical stories.
Worship is brought to life through weekly storytelling, special services with the parish team, and visual aids like the three-wick candle, which help children explore concepts such as the Holy Trinity. Prayer spaces throughout the school also offer quiet opportunities for personal reflection.
🎓 Personal Growth and Leadership
Pupils are “active agents of change” in our community. They lead charity initiatives, voice opinions through the school council, and take responsibility through roles such as worship leaders and ambassadors.
These opportunities, underpinned by Gospel teachings, help pupils understand concepts of justice, compassion, and service.
📚 High-Quality Religious Education
The updated RE curriculum was praised for its balance, breadth, and clear links to the school’s Christian vision. Pupils confidently explore Christianity as a global faith, as well as other world religions such as Judaism. They reflect on deep questions and show empathy and understanding for diverse beliefs.
RE is led with “passion and purpose” and supports the personal development of all pupils, preparing them for life in a rich and diverse world.
👥 Supportive and Strategic Leadership
Governors and leaders were commended for their “active and strategic role” in upholding the school’s Christian character. Staff benefit from high-quality professional development that aligns with the school’s values and goals. The inspection recognised that all adults feel part of a supportive and motivated team.
🎉 In the Words of the Inspector
“There is a clear sense of teamwork, with Christian values embedded in daily interactions and routines.”
“Pupils and adults thrive in a safe environment.”
“Raynsford celebrates the way in which each member of the school community is unique.”
🙏 Thank You
We are incredibly proud of this report and the recognition it brings to our entire school community. It is a testament to the children, staff, governors, families, and church partners who bring our vision to life each day.
Together, we continue to build a school where all thrive.
