Africa (Year 5)

Welcome to Africa Class.

In Africa Class we are taught by Mrs Tumber and our teaching assistants are Mrs Gibson and Miss Triner

Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday. 

Our lovely bright spacious Year 5 classroom is part of the new build ‘The Owlery.’

Pupils in Yr5 learn to further improve on their independence skills but also their metacognition in regards to learning.  With greater independence comes the opportunity for further responsibilities. For example, Yr5 and 6 are offered the prospect of becoming a sports-leader within our RealPE scheme and leadership roles within the Owl Parliament (school council) and wider curricular areas.

Whilst preparing pupils for year 6 and secondary school, we also provide a nurturing and safe environment where the pupils wellbeing is at the centre of our values.
